Hi Tim and Tim,

I was reading the report from the Brazilian delegation to the ISO/TC215
committee meeting in Canada this last March and they mention that this
groups has made a presentation there. ICD 11 was also presented.
They also mention that Prof. Dipak Kalra (University College London) made a
presentation on CEN 13606. Unfortunately the report is superficial, without
detailed information on any of these presentations.

Regards,

John

Hi John,

Reviewing the above paragraph as well as the web site; I am curious as
to which international standards body has accepted and approved the
"worldwide industry standards" as stated.

Looks like CDISC has established the standards. In other words, it has
approved its own set of special-purpose standards, which is a very
appropriate thing to do. If ISO etc wishes to rubber stamp them later, they
can, but standards should be established by the people who need and use
them, born out of real-life practice, not dreamt up in isolation by
standards bodies.
