There are some interoperability implications with the choice between GPL
2 and GPL 3.

(And other licences, yes).


Do we wish to have a view on the default choice of licence?

I tend to think that the FSF has done much good, and that the GPL
version 3 is probably superior to version 2 for our general and long
term purposes.
